FLN I
Extension commercial building
Berlin Kreuzberg
The existing building was built in its original form in the 1960s on the banks of the Spree, and has been extended several times since. By adding new levels with glass facades, this current extension is designed to increase the building’s volume to its maximal limit, which is defined by the urban structure of the surrounding. Due to the proximity to water and the fact that the building was extended several times over the years, the design takes also challenging structural and static elements into consideration.
